NHTSA complaint #550720, filed 2000-02“When I first purchased the truck I was running I-10 and had lots of problems with lugs breaking on the front tires and continually replaced them never really finding the problem that was causing it. I have had lots of trouble keeping the front end in alignment as the tire rod ends, spring hangers, bushings and pins have had to be replaced more than usual. After about 25-30 thousand miles the front tires would beat out and have to be replaced. In desperation I even had both front wheels replace in case of defects in the wheels. This helped to a degree but the lugs have started breaking again. …”
