2002 Volvo XC70 Technical Service Bulletins

165 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2002 Volvo XC70. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.

• 10087107Apr 19, 2016Electrical system. This is a service product journal : the previously reported issue with vida 2015 and battery testing has been resolved. Vida 2015 battery testing is the only approved method for producing battery test codes. The use of vida classic or other measuring tools is not considered acceptable when submitting warranty claims.

Oil leakage/moisture from the rear differential housing halves can be resolved by resealing the housing and replacing the seals. The rear differential itself does not normally need to be replaced.
• 10032425Jul 10, 2009Transmission and drivetrain. Volvo: the 5 speed automatic transmission, aw55-50/51, has a bolt on top that anchors the b4 band, which applies 3rd gear. If that bolt is removed, the band will be disengaged and 3rd gear will be inoperative. This includes c70 coupe and convertible, s60 r and v70 r vehicles.
• 10026550Sep 19, 2008Steering. Volvo: angle gear leakage and resealing for 5 cylinder awd only vehicles. Oil leaking/moisture fromthe angle gear halves can be resolved by resealing the houseing and replacing the seals.

For eligible vehicles that are beyond the manufacturer warranty period, volvo will extend warranty coverage on the fuel pump for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed into service. Csc letter was rec'd.
