“- the contact owns a 2006 Yamaha r6 with an odometer reading of 1,000 miles. The contact stated that while going around a curve at 40 MPH and shifting into third gear the throttle froze in and open position and the motorcycle started to raise up. The contact pushed the motorcycle to the side, crashed, and the motorcycle caught on fire. The contact later received the recall 06v442000 which was the noted the same failure as the contacts vehicle had right before the crash. …”
NHTSA complaint #10183150, filed 2007-02, 1,000 miles“The contact owns a 2007 wildfire hy-bird sport qh200-gy (the year, make, and model listed were unavailable in the drop down menu). The contact stated that the motor mount failed. The failure caused the chain to come out the back sprocket, which then caused the sprocket to become scraped and scratched. The dealer stated that nothing could be done. The engine size, powertrain, # of cylinders, and a valid VIN were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 69.”
