“Often while driving and turning the steering wheel the steering wheel will get stuck or start to bind and I will have to apply some force to get it unstuck. Sometimes it is worse than others and can get to the point where I can turn the wheel to go around a turn and I can let go and the steering wheel stays stuck in that same position. No warning or failure notifications from the car. I took it to the dealer to be repaired under warranty. They replicated the issue and replaced the electronic steering rack.”

NHTSA complaint #11773117, filed 2026-10

“I am writing to formally escalate an unaddressed, severe safety defect regarding my 2025 Acura Integra Type S (Current Mileage: ~5,000 miles). My vehicle is experiencing the exact mechanical sticky steering and steering gearbox binding symptoms outlined in NHTSA Campaign 24V-744. While driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel sticks in the dead-center position and requires a sudden, jerky physical force to break it free to maintain lane control. This creates an immediate, highly dangerous accident risk. …”

NHTSA complaint #11748811, filed 2026-07

“The steering wheel feels sticky whenever I take a curve, turn, or simply change lanes. I have to apply some force to recenter it. It has been an ongoing problem for about three weeks.”

NHTSA complaint #11746629, filed 2026-06

“2025 Acura Integra A Spec- I have driven the car around 12,000 miles total and recently have been noticing the steering wheel is “sticking” intermittently. Very dangerous especially because it’s more likely to happen on the highway on long gradual turns”

NHTSA complaint #11764888, filed 2026-09

“The contact owns a 2025 Acura Integra. The contact stated that while attempting to make a left or right turn, there was an abnormal sound coming from the steering wheel, and the vehicle became difficult to steer. Neither a dealer nor an independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (STEERING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. …”
