“Multiple times I have been traveling on the highway and my car would suddenly decrease in speed and stall out. I would go from 75mph to 45mph very quickly. It would then suddenly accelerate again and go back to normal. This is extremely dangerous and could lead to a deadly accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11390353, filed 2021-01, 45,000 miles

“My vehicle was parked under my car port immediately after returning from the grocery store. As I was unloading the car I saw and smelled smoke which then erupted into a fire coming from the engine compartment. We called 911 and when the fd arrived the car was totally engulfed as was my building. Suspect fuel line leak. Insurance company investigating. Fd says Acura MDX was cause of fire. Dangerous situation as no prior indicators from vehicle, recalls, etc.. Photos available if needed. If gone unnoticed, entire structure could have been lost.”

NHTSA complaint #11318948, filed 2020-03, 20,000 miles

“We have two stop sale safety recalls on our 2018 Acura MDX that have gone over a year without being addressed. I have contacted Acura and the dealership multiple times. Acura refers me to the dealer and the dealer refers me to Acura. Apparently there is no accountability for important safety recalls. Would appreciate some help from NHTSA”

NHTSA complaint #11628987, filed 2024-12

“The car periodically loses power while driving. In traffic this has caused some very scary and hazardous incidents while vehicles zoom around us or as we attempt to make it to the shoulder of the road. We do not get warning lights when it happens. The dealer (Cincinnati Columbia Accura) has confirmed the fuel pump safety recall but has done nothing to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11614158, filed 2024-09

“I have been trying to get the two recalls fixed for several months with the dealership telling me they don't have the parts and they would contact me when they get the parts in. No one contacts me, I call to find out if they have received parts. Recall, 23V-858 and 23V-751.”
