NHTSA complaint #11088497, filed 2018-04, 24,000 miles“Known TSB by Audi for problems with the steering shaft. Turning becomes difficult and happens randomly. Seems to be an electrical issue. Happens when both stationary and in motion. I fear that if this happens at a high rate of speed that I could crash.”
NHTSA complaint #11102653, filed 2018-06, 55,000 miles“Reference: 2013 Audi a4 quattro. The steering has suddenly become very stiff. Steering wheel will not return to center after making a 90 degree turn on urban streets. I must turn it back manually. I have been driving non-power steering vehicles and power steering vehicles for 60+ years. This is not the way that any steering system that I have ever driven works. I consider this a very serious safety issue that should warrant a recall of all Audi vehicles so affected.”
NHTSA complaint #11170579, filed 2019-01, 53,500 miles“Like many other complaints I have read on this website, my Audi has a significant notchy feeling in the steering wheel which has grown considerably worse in the last several days. It started right when the car was new. It is like the wheel is fighting against my efforts to steer it, especially to the right. The vehicle was serviced about a year for the same complaint and was better for a while, but much worse now”
NHTSA complaint #10725080, filed 2015-06, 40,150 miles“We are having a steering problem with our 2013 all road. It has about 10k miles on it. At varying speeds, we notice play or lack of control while steering. It appears there is a 1-2 inch lack of response from center while driving from time to time....not consistent. It also appears that steering takes more effort while compensating for this lack of control....during and after the episode.”
