“Re: recall campaign no 14v-428 I received a recall letter from Bmw in sept 2014 regarding front passenger side airbag. I have contacted my local Bmw dealer a dozen times in the past 5 months but they keep telling me that the part is not available. They supposedly put me on a waiting list 3 months ago. However, they cannot tell me where I stand on the waiting list and for how much longer it may take.”

NHTSA complaint #10683704, filed 2015-02

“The airbag malfunctioned, warning light came on and has remained on constantly. I have spoken to several other Bmw owners of this make and year model who have told me that this is a common occurrence. Apparently there is a sensor connected to the seatbelt which often goes bad, which then triggers the dash warning light.”
