Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My rear subframe totally seperated from my vechicle costing 1600 to fix. I was not in an accident, it broke on its own. Bmw informed me that this is normal wear and tear, but I think its a recall issue. There are a number of people with these problems. Also my moonroof bent the tracks, and now needs total replacement. Bmw also has a number of complaints regarding window regulators.”

NHTSA complaint #10043050, filed 2003-10, 60,000 miles

“Left side driver window will not make final power up after shutting door if the window has been partially opened or closed previously. The only way to make the window close tightly is to power down the window completely and then power up completely with no stopping part way.”

NHTSA complaint #10154692, filed 2006-04, 12,683 miles
