“Sua. I was in a frightening accident attempting to park my car on the rooftop of my 4 story office building. I pulled into a space on the edge of the lot and came to a complete stop. My foot was on the brake, I was about to put the car in park when the engine loudly and suddenly revved and the car surged forward up onto a concrete curb and rammed into a 4 ft high concrete retaining wall. The force of the impact tore the wall apart from the roof - my car was still accelerating, wheels spinning. …”

NHTSA complaint #11062714, filed 2018-01, 110,000 miles

“Experienced drive train malfunction warning along with shaking and limp mode numerous times which resulted in 2 repairs last year in the thousands only to find out it was due to the cam shaft bolts recall at the root of the initial cause of the failures that resulted. Bmw was hesitant to pay initially but my husband is a litigation attorney and once he got involved, they were quick in doing the right thing. I am currently having issues with the no warning light showing to warn me of a low coolant level. …”

NHTSA complaint #11149713, filed 2018-11, 96,750 miles

“This is related to a 2011 Bmw X3. The sunroof just exploded out of no where. It was a nice sunny day and we were driving on the highway. We were driving at normal speed of approximately 60-65mph since we had 2 young children in the car, a 1 year old and a 3 year old. All of a sudden we heard a loud bang like a gunshot sound. We thought the tires blew out, so we pulled over. My husband stepped out of the car and looked at all the tires and they were fine and intact. My husband looked on top of the car and saw the sunroof was shattered. We were shocked. …”

NHTSA complaint #11228658, filed 2019-07, 35,000 miles

“I parked my vehicle in front of my house for the night after driving for only about 15-20 minutes. Maybe less. Roughly 3-4 hours later, I was alerted to my car being completely up in flames by the sounds of fire trucks / police sirens. Flames were 20-30 feet in the air coming from the engine compartment area. Fire department / police worked to extinguish the flames, but the vehicle is totally destroyed.”

NHTSA complaint #11505918, filed 2023-02

“Tail light seems to constantly have problem. I have fixed it multiple times and after few days/weeks my neighbor complains and I have been flagged multiple times on road about running tail light not working. Issue seems to always be there even if I change the whole panel or the LED panel. It is an LED light that should never go out but it looks like my car behind me always see it as not working tail light.”
