“The contact owns a 2022 BMW X6. The contact stated that while reversing at 5 MPH in the driveway, there was an abnormal dragging sound coming from the vehicle while turning the steering wheel. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was determined that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered goodwill repair. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.”
