Example complaints

Brakes: “Motorhome, chevy p-30 parking brake blows a fuse at highway speed and aplyes barking brake. Two GM service centers can not find any problem they just keep charging me and can not repair the Motorhome. It is dangerous to drive it and the only thing to do is disengage the parking brake but I do not like to drive like that.”

NHTSA complaint #10016843, filed 2003-05, 38,000 miles

Fuel system: “I own a 1999 fleetwood Bounder. The onan generator fuel line to the gas tank has a leak where it goes into the gas tank. It is a rubber fuel hose. This could be a danger for fire and in order to fix the problem you must drop the gas tank. We are not the only one with this problem, everyone has this problem eventually. There should be a recall because of possible explosion.”

NHTSA complaint #10278437, filed 2009-07

Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors): “While driving along on a us hwy the windshield came out of the rubber molding on the passenger side of our 1999 36' Bounder Motorhome. I used duct tape to close the resulting gap and drove home to colorado. I contacted the manufacturer of the motor home, fleetwood and they responded with this concern can occur from time to time on motor homes, due to many factors, such as road conditions, weather, wear & tear of the gasket, etc. I have never heard of such a thing. This unit has only 28000 miles and I believe this condition to be dangerous. …”
