“Today my 2008 Town & Country driver seat belt automatic locking retractors stop working. The seat belt do not return to the original position .all the belt is out from the device and do not retract back. The seat belt is inoperative. I buckle up because I don't want be stop by a police,but in case of an accident is nothing to protect me. I visit efird dealer in florence sc but they want to charge $170 for labor and $109 for the part plus tax. I consider this problem with the seat belt retractors is a safety issue that need be address without any cost to the costumer. …”
NHTSA complaint #10375086, filed 2011-01, 54,320 miles“The contact owns a 2008 chrysler Town & Country. The contact stated that while stopped at a stop sign, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The second row seatbelt was not locked and caused the child in the booster seat to be flipped upside down. There were minor injuries to the child and contact. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the second row seatbelts did not lock when involved in a crash. The dealer called the manufacturer but neither the dealer nor the contact received any response. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. …”
