“Chrysler 2008 town and country van has grinding noise from front bearings. There is a recall k-19 for this problem for vans built from 12/07-02/08. My van built 01/08 but not included in recall, although it has the problem the recall is to repair. Chrysler will not explain why our van is not included in recall.”
NHTSA complaint #10395771, filed 2011-04, 55,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 chrysler town and country. The contact had to replace the wheel bearings three times on both front wheels. The dealer replaced the wheel bearings each time, but could not determine what caused them to break. The most recent failure nearly caused a crash to occur. The only thing holding the wheel on was the caliper. The failure mileage was 45000 and the current mileage was 145000. Updated 09/29/10.”
