Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“November 2024 his vehicle was purchased used with only 5600 miles on it an unaware that this vehicle did not have the side blind alert or rear cross traffic alert. It was after downloading the original window sticker it was noticed that the vehicle did not have these safety features. The original window sticker shows a $ 350.00 credit for these safety features. My opinion these safety features should be required. This Buick was purchased through a Ford dealer as used and we were not informed of this. …”

NHTSA complaint #11632592, filed 2024-12

“At the time I purchased this vehicle there was a shortage of chips to warn of items in the path while backing up. This is a safety feature and should be updated. Nine months is long enough to wait for promises to be acted on!”
