“When braking down hill the rotors warp making it almost impossible to stop in an emergency. Dealership paid for the second repair, car was about a year old, saying it was a defect in the design, lightweight rotors, calipers and brake pads. Luckily I live in an area that is flat. Every time I go out of town I have to deal with this fear and a repair job. An independent mechanic said I needed to upgrade to heavy duty rotors and calipers. Said this took care of the problem in a cadillac with the same problems. …”

“The brakes when applying coming down hills make the front end shimmy and shake and it does not want to slow the vehicle down according to the brake pressure being applied. This is a very serious problem and I called the dealer here in butte, mt and they said she thinks this is the way it is. The problem has gotten somewhat worse as time and use of the brakes increase and it is becoming as major issue for us. We love the car but this needs to be looked at as soon as possible. The car has 45800 miles as of now. We purchased it new in 2006.”

After a few minutes it started but ran rough but was able to get it home a few blocks away. Had it towed to a dealer and they could not find the problem. A week later it happened two more times and was able to get to the dealer who could find no problem. We had no more problems for four months and then it happened again. We took it to the dealer for the fourth time and again they could not find anything. We have contacted g.m. …”
