Other or unknown: “The past two weeks while driving the vehicle, it suddenly turns off and the brake light comes on for the emergency brake. It is so scary when driving down the road and my vehicle suddenly stops. I have to put it back in park and try to get the emergency brake off. It takes a bit to get it off. Then I can start it again. I happened today while sitting at a red light and while driving down the road. I was on a city street.”

NHTSA complaint #11340104, filed 2020-07, 21,000 miles

Electrical system: “Vacuum Pump blew up forcing cam shaft sensor to blew out of engine and caused my brakes to fail. This happened at a stop sign. I proceed through the stop in front of a semi-tractor. Fortunately it was in front of the police station in(30mph) town zone and he was able to brake before killing me. My vehicle stopped before going through the front door of an auto shop, My Timing Cam is damaged and Shepherds is quoting $2600 to replace, plus an additional $800 already spent in replacing the vacuum pump. …”

Exterior lighting: “I purchased a cpo 2017 Buick Regal sports touring edition on 11/13/2020. On 12/12/2020 I took it to get washed at a hand carwash as I do with all my vehicles. I had to wait for my real license plate to arrive as the paper/temp one would have been ruined. After the car was finished, I noticed that there was a substantial amount of condensation with in my passenger side headlamp. After arriving home, I researched and found this is a known issue that has been going on for approx. 10 years with these specific vehicles. …”
