“Our 2006 Buick rendevous has a windshield that has a distortion present that is distracting while you drive. Dealer said the distortion is in all rendevous because of the laminate used for heads up display (we do not have a hud in the vehicle). If this is the case and all rendevous have this distortion the windshields should be recalled, they present a safety hazard and I'm not sure of their integrity in a crash.”

In addition, the contact noticed that the control panel on the driver side door was not operating properly. As a result, the windows would not roll down and the doors would not lock. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who stated that the start switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred multiple times. The manufacturer was not notified. …”

If there was any vehicle within a 12 inch radius, he would not see it when looking out of the passenger side view mirror. The failure almost caused two crashes. He took the vehicle to the dealer, but they had no replacement mirrors in another size. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The contact also attempted to find aftermarket mirros of a different size, but was informed that there were none. …”

NHTSA complaint #10246100, filed 2008-10, 2,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2006 Buick Rendezvous. The contact approached the vehicle and noticed that the rear glass had a huge hole. The glass around the hole had several fractures. The police was called to inspect the vehicle for vandalization. The officer stated that the glass appeared to have cracked due to a defect. He further concluded that the impact of the hole in the glass originated from inside the vehicle. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer.
