“I attempted to brake to accommodate traffic, but the cruise control did not disengage; my vehicle slowed a few miles per hour and then rapidly accelerated, almost causing an accident. I tried to brake again, but the same thing happened! Only when I put the car in neutral was I able to stop! I have read a few other similar reports in which the car was not even using cruise control and am now afraid of getting into a toyota -type accident even if I do not use the cruise control. What am I to do??? Please advise...”
