NHTSA complaint #10983800, filed 2017-05, 80 miles

“My service stability system & ABS light came on about two months ago. I have noticed when sometimes I press on the brake, it feel like it's slipping. Now, the lights stay on and I had a diagnostic test run on it and the code is c0223, also about 7 months ago my truck just stopped on the road. I was told that my problem was my fuel filter system. I just found out that both of these items were recalls. Please let me know what I need to do. I tried calling federal-mogul and honeywell international inc (fram) but I can't get through.”

NHTSA complaint #10577067, filed 2014-04, 139,332 miles

“I owned 2002 Cadillac Escalade, I bought brand new, we do not know how many times we sent this car back to dealer to fix something, I change tires every one & half year, right now we have big problem, when I drive on freeway entrance with turns, the stability light comes on, meaning time the car suddenly slows down, looks like you step on brake. I brought to dealer to check it, they still have the car, can not find what could cause that. They took it for a test drive, they know this is dangerous when you are on the road.”

NHTSA complaint #10306052, filed 2010-02, 100,000 miles

“On 08/27/2007 my stability control system light was on in the dash board of my veicle, approached traffic light tried to stop and the brakes would not work, then the vehicle accelarated on its own. For the grace of god I was able to avoid an accident due to the traffic being light. I had my 2002 Cadillac Escalade towed to the nearest Cadillac service shop(ken dixon, waldorf md) in the area at the time. Dealer advised an issue with the ABS and the stability control uni adv cost of repair $2600 or more, advised by dealer no recall on either of these issues. …”
