“The vehicle caught fire without cause at a walmart parking lot. When I came out of the store my car was on fire. The fire started in the door panel of the drivers side. I have no idea what caused the fire. Sterling heights fire dept was on the seen and put the fire out. My car was totaled.”

NHTSA complaint #10621189, filed 2014-08, 67,500 miles

“Catalytic converter failed at approximately 83,000 miles. Check engine light comes on and the manufacturer and the dealer replaced the converter. At 93,000 miles, received check engine light warning again and the code indicates that the catalytic converter is a problem. The side affect is that the car lacks power when having a need accelerate. Gm has recalled the 2005 converter, but not the 2006.”

Engine at that time went into a very high RPM making a horrible loud whining noise and auto accelerated in reverse with car in park and emergency brake on. Tried to stop the vehicle but brake pedal went to floor. No control of the vehicle and rode the vehicle as it reversed on its own, onto street, through the intersection ,colliding with a parked car and coming to rest with the rear of the car against a building. …”

Main street, andover, ma) and the manufacturer were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 100,000.”
