“This is the second time the EV charging system has alerted for overheating and inability to charge. The dealer has now had the car for 2 weeks this second time. It was in the shop for 4 days the 1st time when the issue was not fixed. I was in the vehicle with my small child and had no air conditioning as well.”

NHTSA complaint #11727500, filed 2026-03

“I believe the issue involved Super Cruise, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking systems. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection. It has been there since 6/22/25 because the brakes and rotors are on backorder. While driving on the highway in the middle lane on a Sunday afternoon, I activated adaptive cruise after the vehicle had been parked for over 2 hours. After driving seven miles, the car suddenly jolted to a stop in the middle lane, as if we had been hit. We hadn’t—but cars were forced to swerve around us at highway speeds. …”

NHTSA complaint #11676625, filed 2025-07

“Vehicle displayed a 'Lithium Ion Battery – Schedule Service Now' warning within approximately one month of delivery. Dealership service records later obtained by our attorney show the identical diagnostic condition was already present and was cleared via a system reset on the date of delivery, October 23, 2025, without disclosure to us. …”

NHTSA complaint #11759934, filed 2026-08

“This complaint concerns the manufacturer's conduct of this recall, not the existence of the defect. A safety recall was issued for 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ vehicles for a third-row power seatback that may fail to reverse when it encounters an occupant. The manufacturer's original filing with this agency stated the remedy as replacement of the folding third-row seat module, and stated that disabling the feature was an option only for dealership inventory vehicles and for owners who chose it. …”
