“When trying to back in garage, transmission would not go in reverse at all and can only move forward, at times, the navigation display screen will turn off or freeze before operating normally, and the brakes have been squeeking ever since it was driven off the car lot when purchased new; GM says that's normal.”
NHTSA complaint #11682674, filed 2025-08“Transmission suddered. Took to the dealer and they said that there are parts in the transmission that need to be replaced. They recommended not driving the vehicle because there could be complete faliure of the transmission causing the car not to move. They said that parts are on backorder and did not give a timeline of when the parts would be available. They said they did not have a vehicle to drive while we wait.”

NHTSA complaint #11697916, filed 2025-11“The contact owns a 2024 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission malfunctioned, and the vehicle failed to properly accelerate. Also, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission erroneously switched from the automatic mode to the manual mode and the vehicle would not remain in the proper gear. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. …”
