“At random times, the power steering goes out on the spyder with no warning. It doesn't show any codes when it happens. Doesn't matter if it's on a straight stretch or curve. Difficulty turning the wheels when this happens.”
NHTSA complaint #10626682, filed 2014-08, 21,000 miles“The contact owns a 2010 Can-Am Spyder RT. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the steering wheel became firm. The power steering and parking brake warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.”

While driving approximately 30 MPH, the dynamic power steering and limp home mode warning lights illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 09v162000 (steering). The failure mileage was 14,000.”
