“- the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet avalanche. The contact complained that the recommended air pressure by Chevrolet was 30 PSI, while the tire manufacturer recommends 44 PSI. The contact would like to see this changed because the vehicle handled better at the tire manufacturer's recommended tire pressure. The contact stated that Chevrolet's recommended PSI was under inflation of the tire. Updated 03/02/07.”
NHTSA complaint #10181030, filed 2007-01, 2,284 miles“I bought four brand new tires from wal mart and they are uniroyal liberator a/t tires about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed that the tires have ripples in the side walls and one tire has a lump on the inside sidewall. They are a size p265/70r17. The only other numbers on the tires are as follows: DOT bet6 c62u 06-57786-01 ygfa 2293 I am going to go back to wal mart today to bring it to their attention and see what they'll do to correct the issue. I just wanted to bring this to your attention in case other people have had similar issues with these tires.”
