Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Flat tire in the middle of nm desert. No spare or jack in car. Fill and pump didn't work. 60 miles from nearest repair. No cell service. Walked about 5 miles to cell service. If it was the middle of the summer I'd of died of heat stroke or if I was in the mountains of colorado in winter I'd of frozen to death. A spare tire has been supplied for 90 years for safety now nothing.”

The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 169,000.”

Due to the failure, the contact was unable to actuate the defroster or hear the turn signals. The dealer was notified of the failure and was given a diagnostic fee to inspect the vehicle.
