“Traveling westbound on interstate 80 from reno to san francisco 55-65 MPH, without warning my 2010 Camaro had 100 % loss of all power and operating functions; out of control down the mountain during heavy traffic I was able to stop the vehicle by jamming into the guardrail, trapping myself in car. Nothing worked...no onstar...I called my daughter in reno and told her to send help..I was in shock. I had no clue what happened or why..but after the traffic slowed down I exited the vehicle, still no help or response. …”
NHTSA complaint #10301668, filed 2010-01, 3,675 miles“Passenger air bag sensor did not detect a passenger in the seat, had to pay $$ to have this replaced. On star red light was also on then green on & off. On star said it a communication failed & with the accident notification. The car was checked at dealership same time the air bag sensor was checked. Then checked 2 more times since. The dealership could not find the problem & told us they would have to take dash & console out to find problem at our expense & our expense for a diagnostic again. We now have the car at a different GM dealership that has a testing instrument for the antenna and. …”
NHTSA complaint #10561279, filed 2014-01, 38,000 miles“I have a 2010 Camaro with a v6. Every time I ride down the road, I hear a clunking noise coming from the front end. I took it to the dealer but all they say is they don't hear anything. I belong to a Camaro club and 90% of the other Camaro's do the same thing. We believe it has something to do with the struts but of course GM denies that anything is wrong. They need to do a recall before to many people get killed. We have people in our club that have 2012 Camaro's that do the same thing. Mine has done it since day 1 but like I said the dealer always says that nothing is wrong.”
