“The airbag warning light came on in the car and I took it in for service as soon as an appointment became available. After a few hours of diagnosis, Chevrolet service determined there was a loose wire and it was repaired. The problem was that my car was out of service for two days while the issue was being diagnosed and I had to pay for the repair. I think this type of safety repair should be covered by the manufacturer exclusive of the warranty period.”

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the passenger’s side seat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at her expense, with a possible reimbursement. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.”
