“Would like to have the entire recall history of this car, it is very important that I have it due to the fact that this is a driver's ed car with many students just starting how to drive. I originally found out that threr were a large number of recalls from midas muffler when I went in to have the car services. I had the brakes done completely, the front wheel bearings replaced (both sides). The back wheel bearnings need to be done very soon. Please let me know if these are part of the recall.”

NHTSA complaint #711221, filed 2000-04

“We have had several problems with this car, including the heating and electical systems(alternator, radio, etc.)and the transmission. The main one at this point is the peeling paint. The car is a very nice medium blue, but it looks terrible due to the spots of gray where the paint just bubbled up and flaked off, very much like it got a sunburn. I took the car to the dealer in october 2000 for some work on the alignment and asked to have researched whether there was a policy on fixing the paint, which had already begun peeling off. He told me he would look into it and took the VIN number. …”

NHTSA complaint #10070594, filed 2004-01

“When traveling on an incline at 30 MPH transmission would not shift, causing loss of all acceleration. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has yet to determine the cause. Transmission has been replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #852637, filed 1999-11

“Driving at approximately 20 MPH axle on front wheel broke, tearing rubber on passenger side, causing loss of vehicle control, resulting in an accident.”
