“While entering the south bound on ramp to I 75 at gainsville fl. The driver side brake locked up pulling the car hard to the left. The designation service active handling appeared on the drivers information screen above the steering wheel. I was able to turn the ignition switch to the off position & restart the car. Once done the notification in the dic was eliminated & the car drove fine.”

NHTSA complaint #10605176, filed 2014-06, 34,686 miles

“I have a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette that is in for repair for ABS and other. The part a ABS module does not seem to be available and may not be for another 2 to three weeks. This car has been in since 5/5 and I have no idea when I may get the vehicle back. I do not think it is reasonable to have a vehicle in for such a long time. The vehicle uses a lot of oil also, and engine noise is a problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10019223, filed 2003-05, 8,700 miles

“While making a tight left turn to gain entrance to the i75 on ramp south of gainsville fla. The driver side front brake caliper locked up causing the car to swerve violently to the left. Fortunately no other car was alongside so an accident was avoided.. Since then this malfunction has repeated itself multiple times but fortunately at slower speeds.”

NHTSA complaint #10676395, filed 2015-01, 317,201 miles

“Brakes failed while backing out of the garage. After inspection it was determined the brake line to the left rear wheel developed a hole due to excessive rusting of the steel brake line.”

NHTSA complaint #10855002, filed 2016-04, 80,765 miles

“Abs service light goes on. Abs system failure. Results in disabling of ABS, traction control and active handling. Has happened 4 times. Chevy had initially advised shutting off car and restarting: it gets rid of code and car will function normally. If the random event occurs during emergency situation it can result in loss of control of car, I.e., that brakes can lock.”
