“We were at a stop light and smelled oil burning. This happened a couple of times before we decided to look under the car. When we did there was oil all over the oil pan and all the way to the rear of the car. Took the car to the chevy dealer and they tightened the bolts on the oil pan. The service manager told us when we had it in that there was a service bulletin for this and the rear main seal had a problem with leaking and that it should be replaced if any one brought a vehicle in with this problem. Took the car home and drove for a couple days and still smelled oil. …”

“The rear window in the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette has a design flaw and causes distortion to the point it makes one dizzy when looking through the rear view mirror. The window has been replaced twice by the dealership, however they state they will no longer do anything any more about it. This distortion is found in all of the corvettes at the dealership, the regional manager looked at them and has said they will not do anything more, as it appears it is the problem lies in the design. …”

NHTSA complaint #10202103, filed 2007-09, 3,685 miles

“Made online concern and issue with low beam lights going off in 2011. Recall notice from GM; january 2015, states it will install jumper wire. I already had this completed on 10/13/2011 which resulted as a short term fix. Still ended up having problems and eventually (hoping for the recall to transpire sooner) have it set up now where I need to pop the hood and install a 20 amp fuse in order for lights to go on. Jumper format is not adequate just be aware. …”

NHTSA complaint #10671901, filed 2015-01

“The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, there was a loud creaking and popping noise coming from the sunroof. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact was concerned about the safety of the vehicle. The manufacturer was made of the failure and advised the contact to reach out to NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage approximately was 22,000.”
