2013 Chevrolet Cruze Latches, locks and linkages Problems

“The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that after his wife exited the vehicle and closed the front passenger’s side door, all the doors were erroneously locked, leaving the couple stranded outside of the vehicle. The tow truck service was called to the scene and was able the unlock the doors. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 85,000.”

“The contact rented a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that he was a rear seat passenger in the vehicle and attempted to open the rear door but the door locks would not disengage. The driver of the vehicle attempted to open the doors from the outside, but the locks remained engaged. The contact felt that the vehicle feature or defect was a safety issue because in the event of an emergency, the rear passengers would be trapped inside of the vehicle.
