Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Vehicle is developing body sheet-metal rust due to an apparent manufacturer painting defect or incomplete paint during the assembly process. Both rear quarter panels have begun rusting in the same areas, on the spot-welds or punch-welds where the inner and outer fenders are welded together. A local Chevrolet dealership has physically inspected vehicle, and supposedly submitted repair estimate to general motors to see if company would repair. This occurred on tuesday, july 26, but have heard from neither dealership nor general motors (mileage at time of estimate approx. 43,000).”
