“Had multiple brake line failures in the last 2 months. First being the main line to the rear brakes, then brake line to the right front wheel, then line to left front wheel. While truck was being worked on it was noticed that the front frame rail was starting to rust through near where the front bumper mounts, also noticed rust on the frame at front of cab area, this is not surface rust, this is rusted through the frame and has large rust scales. It is primarily in the area of the cab and forward. Frame seems to be okay from the cab back, problem is where the frame is enclosed.”

NHTSA complaint #10446888, filed 2012-02, 56,000 miles

“The frame was cracking around the front wheels. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who saw the cracks but could not determine what caused the cracks. The insurance company took pictures and determined that the vehicle did not hit anything to cause the cracks in the frame. The consumer uses the vehicle as a trash truck. He replaces the vehicles parts frequently because of the amount of wear the vehicle sustains. The consumer feels the frame should never have cracked.”

The failure and the current mileage was 56,000.”

The left front wheel cover came off. The tail pipe made a rattle noise, the dealer replaced the tail pipe. The fog light bulb was inoperative. The front brakes made a grinding noise when they were applied. The air condition was not cooling properly. The wood trim on the dash was loose. The right rear axle seal leaked.
