“The ABS brakes were used for the first time this past winter since I have owned the truck. After they came on, the pump never shut off even after I shut the truck off at work. I had to pull the ABS fuse in order for the hydraulic pump to shut down. Two Chevrolet dealers have told me that I need a new computer component (module) and pump that is only sold together. The cost for parts and labor will be over $1,000. As of now, the ABS light and parking brake light are on and I do not have the funds to fix this.”

“The 4 wheel drive switch is going bad in my truck and I really never use the switch. Has there been a recall , will chevy take care of this problem? Also the pulley or compressor for the heating and air makes a noise when I use the air system in my truck. I own a 1999 chevy Silverado z71, and I feel chevy should help me out and fix these problems. Also the fog lights have never worked on the truck and daniels would not fix them for me.”

NHTSA complaint #10018459, filed 2003-05

“The throttle was sticking, the dealer informed the consumer that the problem with the throttle was a maintenance problem, the consumer searched the owners manual to see if such maintenance was indicated as, but it wasn't, the consumer feels this info should be included in the owners manual. Nlm”
