“Twice in the past 5 years I have had a flat tire. I always have to endure the expense of a rollback wrecker to take me someplace to get my flat tire fixed. The reason is a terrible security latch on the spare tire that seizes up as soon as it first gets wet. This latch will not release allowing the cable to lower the spare tire to the ground. This has been a problem for years and, my 2003 silverado 1500 had the exact same problem. I am tired of all these expensive flat tires and lost time. I could change my own flat-if chevy would let me! Help!!!”

As time went by on friday and saturday it became more noticeable to me and my wife . I called the GM dealer in valencia ca and was told it could be the tire weights so I went to jiffy lube for inspection and there was no change on the tire weights. Driving back on sunday at 6:30 am about 20 miles from baker the trembling got very bad to the point I decelerated but to no avail. …”
