NHTSA complaint #10059532, filed 2004-03, 6,300 miles

“2003 Chevrolet Tracker has problems with the battery, the transmitter for the door, the air conditioner, and the defroster. The windows would freeze in the winter in severe cold weather. The consumer would have to scrape the interior windows. The problem would occur in all of the windows of the vehicle including the rear windows, the A/C had gone out, the battery was replaced at 14000 miles and there were several attempts to repair the heating vents to be directed to the floor as the venting only blew into the interior dash. The starter was replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #10117404, filed 2005-04, 100 miles

“New 2003 Chevrolet Tracker 4dr 4wd with the following safety related defects; 1. Two of the tire valves leak for varying lengths of time after checking pressure or filling tire with air, 2. Windshield washer fluid from factory froze, 3. There are stamped openings in the left and right rear fender pannels under the tail lights about 3 x 4 inches in size. One of them is just over where the tail pipe exhausts on the left side. They are covered by what seems to be a generic scotch tape. …”
