“I was hearing about the recent recall actions about chevy suvs with wiper blades. But, I have had an issue where my wiper would stop in the middle of the windshield. My vehicle was not in the recall, but, just made me think, and I wanted to share. I purchased a new arm from GM at my local dealer in august of 2018. So, I think that I am ok.”

NHTSA complaint #11149827, filed 2018-11, 200,000 miles

“I purchased my vehicle in january of 2005 and in the first 2 months had windshield chips from normal driving. I have owned many chevrolets over the years and not one chip. Now I have another one which makes three in 15 months. The dealer will do nothing about it. We had the first two treated independently because of lack of action. My husband and I think this is an unreasonable amount of chips for a front windshield. I witnessed the first and last with the size of the pebble maybe being a quarter centimeter. …”

NHTSA complaint #10156403, filed 2006-04, 23,006 miles

“When leaving work while it was snowing, windshield wipers were operating. During the trip home, the wipers became jammed because of build up of snow under part of the hood that hides wipers when they are not in use. The wipers tried to move but could only shudder in place. I had to drive home in the snowfall without wipers. Upon reaching home and opening the hood I had to remove snow that was packed around wiper arms. The wipers then started to operate again. I will be bringing vehicle back to dealer since this occured at nite. Obvious the design is poor and dangerous. …”

NHTSA complaint #10185435, filed 2007-03, 18,643 miles

“Dt: the contact states the windshield wipers on the vehicle were hidden under the hood. When the temperature dropped to freezing t the windshield wipers froze. Had to open the hood and chip away the ice to get the windshield wipers out from under the hood. The dealer and the manufacturer have been contacted. The contact felt this was a design flaw from the manufacturer.”
