“The chassis has a serious rust issue as I've never seen before. The rust issue is one that you would not even see on a 60 year old car. It caused the rear wheel and all of its components to break free. I do have pictures (it's dark out right at the moment but I can by morning) I have been trying to find a solution for this for quiet a while now.”

NHTSA complaint #11093431, filed 2018-05, 5 miles

“My van hesitates between 2 and 3 RPM's. Especially going up a hill, the engine light will blink for a few seconds. Then engine light continues to stay on..the drivers side door is malfunctioning.. Wheel bearing in the rear need replacement.. And there does appear to be an electrical issue.. Radio skips, interior lights don't work at all.. The drivers side seat doesn't heat. Theres barely any heat even when gauge reads the engine is normally warm..”

NHTSA complaint #11287856, filed 2019-12, 136,000 miles

“There are 4 recalls listed on this site for my vehicle. I am currently having these listed problems with my vehicle. I called GM and they refuse to pay for these repairs due to my vehicle is out of warranty . I told them that a warranty has nothing to do with a recall and they agreed! However, GM will not cover these repairs! I called the phone number given on this site and was told there are no recalls........ I will never purchase a GM vehicle and I will expose them every way possible. This is completely unacceptable!”

NHTSA complaint #10654456, filed 2014-11

“The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle was drifting and would not drive in a straight line. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who performed a wheel alignment and changed the tires, but the failure persisted. The mechanic later diagnosed that the surface of all four alloy wheels had begun to deteriorate and was out of round. The contact was advised not to drive the vehicle until the wheels were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. …”

NHTSA complaint #11506560, filed 2023-02, 80,000 miles

“Rear axel broke while making a right turn causing the rear wheel to become detached. There is a recall for this same problem for 2005 chevy uplanders however when called, was told that the recall only affected vehicles that were remodeled into handicapped accessible vans.”
