“Transmission went out . Dash light go out, seat belts all of them unlatch by them self, I replaced the brakes 6 times already, emission vapor canister went out , the engine light always on . It all ways say check gas cap, know my van not working. I can't clean any hard codes, passenger right side door unlatch when I was and the bottom half of the door hit the ground on the freeway with my 5 kids in the car , my 20 yr son was sitting by his eight yr old brother . …”
NHTSA complaint #10588439, filed 2014-05, 33,000 miles“The drivers side seat belt started going slack about a year ago but I could take up the tension by hand after I buckled the belt. This was just an annoyance until a month ago when the srs light appeared on the dash. The mil was intermittent at first , leading me to believe that the malfunction was likely to resolve itself. Unfortunately the mil is now always on. I took the vehicle to a qualified technician whom I trust and he put the vehicle on the scanner. He informed me that I did indeed have a hard code. His computer tells me that my left front pretensioner deployment loop is open. …”
NHTSA complaint #10425849, filed 2011-09, 45,000 miles“Seat belt pretensioner deployed w no impact belt is slack . Manufacturer knows of problem and has issued a TSB stating that its because sticky liquids have spilled into mechanism, which is impossible. The TSB is just a smokescreen. Im sure alot of cars have this condition but chevy unwilling to acknowledge.”
NHTSA complaint #10575711, filed 2014-03, 60,000 miles“The front passenger seat belt is frayed. When I went to the GM dealer to have it replaced I was advised that was not possible that the belt is no longer available. The seat belts are required by law (a safety item) so I doubt that they are allowed to discontinue. When I looked online I found GM parts on several websites and also this belt available for purchase. So why is a Dealer informing people that they cannot be replaced? This vehicle only has 81,000 miles on it.”
NHTSA complaint #11529647, filed 2023-06“The ABS light is on in my van, I have been told that the airbag could deploy at any time or that in the event of a crash that it won't deploy at all. I purchased this vehicle used but this problem started in 2009. The light will go off occasionally, but only for a few miles. This should be fixed by Chevrolet, however the dealer has stated that it is and was not covered under warrenty.”
