“I feel this is to early for this to have happened. We have only owned this van for 2.5 years. I feel the dealer should make a warranty adjustment due to premature failure. **dimsii ivoq entry posted after 12/12/02 cut over to artemis**768327”

NHTSA complaint #10007481, filed 2002-10, 70,911 miles

“The chest buckle on the built-in child safety seat in my 2000 Chevrolet Venture can be pulled open without pushing the release button. There have not been any injuries but the same thing happened to my mother's van, also a general motors vehicle. Her dealership replaced the entire belt system of the seat. General motors has told me my seat is no longer available and they cannot do anything to help me. I think there may be a defect and am afraid children can be harmed or even killed if invilved in an accident.”

NHTSA complaint #10100776, filed 2004-11, 67,000 miles

“In January 2022, I noticed white smoke coming from the engine and a mechanic said it was the water pump that needed to be replaced, so I have it replaced. Recently, I noticed the same white smoke coming from the engine and took it back to the same mechanic who installed the water pump. The mechanic said it was the intake manifold that caused the white smoke. …”

NHTSA complaint #11488379, filed 2022-10

“Car is losing coolant quickly, even though I have replaced the water pump about a month ago. Due to GM Manufactuing, they only allow Dex Cool coolant for their vehicles but not everyone carries Dex Cool. Also, the oxygen sensor code need to be read oxygen sensor only and not with 4 or 5 other codes.”

NHTSA complaint #11450671, filed 2022-02

“The integrated child restraints have a chest latch. This latch is able to be pulled apart by my 18 mo. Old daughter without unlatching. I investigated, and found that they all come apart easily. Both child seats were replaced and the new ones are able to be unlatched by simply pulling the buckle apart. Once, my daughter was able to get out of the car seat completely as we were driving down the road. And I am concerned in a crash that the latch won't hold, or a child can unlatch it just by pulling on it.”
