“For the last few years the interior windows fog up real bad when it gets below 32 degrees. It is getting worse and very dangerous because I can't see out of the windows after driving a very short distance. The dealer has changed the blend door actuator and the heater core but this has not made any difference . They have told me now that they have no idea what to do because they can't find anything wrong with the car. I have a life time warranty on the car and I need to have this fixed because of safety reasons. …”
NHTSA complaint #11065436, filed 2018-01, 76,000 miles“I was driving my 2008 Chrysler 300 touring on my way home north bound on richmond ave approaching the intersection of victory blvd at a speed of approximately 25 miles per hour . My moon roof of my vehicle exploded littering glass all over the interior and exterior of my vehicle and the glass caused cuts and abrasions on my right hand and scalp. The glass also scraped and cut the interior front seats of my vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #10222422, filed 2008-03, 1,640 miles“On 2/27/2014 I was driving on the free way and my windshield wipers stopped working. It was very dangerous due to the fact that it was pouring rain out, and I had zero visibility on the highway. I had to pull over on to the shoulder, where I waited approximately 30 minutes before I was able to get my wipers to work again. On my way home from work later that day, as I was driving on the freeway once again, my car completely turned off leaving me stranded in the middle of the free way. I was able to get my car started and get home safely , although I was terrified. …”
NHTSA complaint #10567058, filed 2014-03, 125,000 miles“I was going down a side street by my house and I went over a little bump in the road and surprisingly my windshields went on! I pulled over with my husband and we couldn't shut them off! He looked it up in the drivers manual to no avail so we drove it over to our local garage on a beautiful day with the wipers going. The guys said the only thing they could do is go on the top on the battery and pull the fuse..so that's what I had to do to use them. Once you put the fuse in, they do not stop. I got a diagnostic, rip off there, charged way to much,, they said the wiper motor had to be replaced.. …”
NHTSA complaint #10547059, filed 2013-10, 74,000 miles“Since purchasing my new 2008 Chrysler 300, I have had difficulty keeping the interior windows clear from condensation. This is a big problem when it is raining or cold/snowing. I have tried various settings of the climate control including making sure it is taking in outside air vs recirculating, setting the temp at hot, cold, medium, defrost, AC, etc. I have even purchased a product like damp rid to pull moisture from the air, but it is now a daily problem to try to see especially through the sides of the windshield and front side windows. …”
