Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I had several complete brake jobs to get rid of the swilling and noise from the brakes when I stop. None of the things that I had done by the dealership fixed the problem. The dealership stated I had to live with the problem. I still have the same problem today. I have other friends with Chrysler that states they have the same problem. Please note- this vehicle was purchased new.”

NHTSA complaint #10516181, filed 2013-06, 17,000 miles

“After exiting highway, I slowed car speed down to about 25 MPH when the car suddenly experienced a loss of engine power, power steering and power brakes. Car was still in driving mode. I was able to restart car after waiting 10 to 15 minutes.”

NHTSA complaint #10676391, filed 2015-01, 116,400 miles

“While driving slow, the brake pedal was depressed and went all the way down with no braking effect. A complete loss of hydraulic resistance and stopping capacity. If this vehicle had been on an interstate highway at 70 MPH with an emergency simi truck panic stopping in front of this vehicle, the driver would not survive. With this happening to this vehicle this may be a rare event, but if I did not report this , it would be neglect on my part.”

NHTSA complaint #10577223, filed 2014-04, 59,132 miles

“Lost power when ignition switch moved from drive position. Ignition switch sticks. Can pop out of position if you are not careful to make sure it is in correct position before you move vehicle. Took me days to figure this out. Took it to Chrysler dealership several times in 2013. They were never able to fix this problem, then this recall came out. I am still driving with this problem. Dealerships never have the parts to fix either one of the recalls, and cant tell me when they will... Have the parts. Very frustrating. …”

NHTSA complaint #10761250, filed 2015-09, 56,460 miles

“The car stutters when braking, the dealer informed me this was not uncommon and is related to the ABS system and is not a safety hazard. I have seen other comments on this web site that causes me concern?”
