Example complaints

Fuel system: “At time of fill up, when the pump stops full spews out of the fuel filler neck. It has been this way since we purchased the car and when I brought this to the sales managers attention he played it off as no big deal. He did offer an extended warranty to purchase to have the car fixed so it wouldn't spew fuel on the ground or person pumping gas. I find it hard to believe this has not been addressed in a recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10744083, filed 2015-07, 68,000 miles

Air bags: “None of the airbags engaged. This was a accident that hit a semi in the front of car. The whole engine was crumbled. Numerous broken bones from head to chest to knee.”

NHTSA complaint #10565675, filed 2014-02, 95,000 miles

Brakes: “Chrysler aspen 2008, problem with ABS when roads are wet. Abs locked left front driver side wheel making the truck sping clockcounter wise. It happen twice to my wife, and the third time happened to me and her. I reported to Chrysler but they reject the claim after they send an engineer to inspect the truck. They blaming the back tires been worn out.”

NHTSA complaint #10323492, filed 2010-04, 39,000 miles

Engine: “My family and I were driving on the highway when my 2008 Chrysler aspen began to smoke from the engine. I had the truck towed in to the shop and was told that the engine had seized up. I only had 55000 miles on the truck with regular maintenance. I had the truck fully serviced 2 days before as we were out of town. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and this seems to be a problem with all types of dodge and Chrysler engines.”
