“The Chrysler Crossfire is a nice looking vehicle but I've had an issues that my engine would shutdown without warning. The car would restart upwards to about 2 hours later but would shutdown again several miles later. Took it to the dealership three times and they have not been able to sort it out. I am now unable to use the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10257167, filed 2009-02, 24,333 miles“The engine cuts out without any pre-indications. Afterward the starter will not respond although the lights work ok. The transmission locks when put in park. Hours later the response stays the same. The first time it started working a day later, the second time it hasn't started yet. The dealer seems to have no idea on what to do. It left me stranded late at night. This seems to be a chronic Crossfire problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10446825, filed 2012-02, 6,738 miles“The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler cross fire. The contact stated that intermittently while driving the vehicle will stall. As a consequence his risk of vehicle crash was increased. Also when attempting to start the vehicle it exhibits a no start condition. The vehicle was in the process of being inspected to determine the cause of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 24,000.”
