“Rear windshield completely separated from top in late (oct)2010. It was replaced and has completely separated again. I am so upset. This is dangerous and costly. I also have issues with car alarm going off while operating vehicle. I have contacted crysler and have not been offered any assistance.”

NHTSA complaint #11084837, filed 2018-04, 70,000 miles

“I came outside to find that the rear window of the convertible top had come loose and was laying on the rear deck being held to the fabric in 1 small place. The car had been parked outside for 1 day. Luckily it didn't fall out while I was driving, potentially shattering the glass near my head. Until the car is repaired it is unusable in foul weather due to water running in the passenger compartment.”

NHTSA complaint #10811596, filed 2015-12, 65,577 miles

“I have had my car since 2006 however I have not been able to drive because the ignition switch doesn't turn. I would get it fix out of pocket but I only have 33,000 original miles on it, and I don't think a car that has this little of miles should have this kind of problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10716663, filed 2015-05, 33,000 miles

“The glass rear window of my car is detaching from the convertible soft top. Having been to several Chrysler dealers over the past two years, with much difficulty finding authorized repair technicians, I did not take it immediately to a dealership. It seemed to be glued in originally so I began with my local auto body shop who referred me to a convertible top specialist. I discovered the entire top has to be replaced which is very expensive. …”

NHTSA complaint #10731466, filed 2015-07, 46,000 miles

“I own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. It is a convertible. The rear window has become unglued causing possible serious injury, had it come totally unglued it could have created a serious injury similar to what snow could do if not cleaned off before leaving for a trip in your car. I have notified Chrysler and they will take no responsibility in the repair. Their reply, the warranty is expired! I cannot understand why this issue is not being taken more seriously? There have been many complaints filed with this same issue. …”
