“I came outside to find that the rear window of the convertible top had come loose and was laying on the rear deck being held to the fabric in 1 small place. The car had been parked outside for 1 day. Luckily it didn't fall out while I was driving, potentially shattering the glass near my head. Until the car is repaired it is unusable in foul weather due to water running in the passenger compartment.”

NHTSA complaint #10811596, filed 2015-12, 65,577 miles

“Car was sitting in the driveway and back glass fell out and broke we had replaced this top once with our money as Chrysler and NHTSA wouldn't do anything about it this car has had recalls on this problem of the glass falling out and the glue failures but it seems only certain cars are repaired this car has been kept in a garage since the new top was installed and we took it out for a few days and the glue let loose what will it take to get Chrysler or NHTSA to fix this”

NHTSA complaint #11102375, filed 2018-06, 58,000 miles

“I own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible. It has 27,434 miles on it. The back glass window came unglued and partially fell into the rear deck. It cannot be repaired with additional glue. The remainder of the top is in excellent shape. It is now costing me $2850.00 for a new top. Clearly, this is a design flaw and safety hazard. A recall is in order.”

NHTSA complaint #10331660, filed 2010-05, 27,434 miles

“My rear window is separating from the convertible canvas top. I contacted Chrysler as there is an extended warranty of 10 years or 100,000 miles: NHTSA sb 23035-11 rev a. I was told the NHTSA was for vehicles delivered only in certain states. What does the state have to do with a faulty adhesion problem? After a number of emails and phone calls Chrysler has turned down the request. Concerned there is a danger if the window comes out on the highway.”

NHTSA complaint #10692972, filed 2015-03, 72,000 miles

“The chrome trim on the backside of my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire interior door pull is peeling and becoming very sharp. This occurs on both driver and passenger doors. I recently sliced my finger open while closing the driver's door. There is a TSB out to fix this issue, but since my car is out of warranty Chrysler will do nothing. This is a safety concern.”

NHTSA complaint #10269981, filed 2009-05, 52,500 miles
