“A loud clunking noise could be heard when traveling over uneven road surfaces or on right hand turns. After completing a right turn, the driver side front wheel was completely dislodged and folded backinto the wheel well. The lower control arm was fractured where the ball joint was seated, allowing the ball joint to come away from the lower control arm. The driver side drive shaft was dislodged from the transmission.”

NHTSA complaint #10198523, filed 2007-08, 87,311 miles

“The contact stated there is a vibration in the front end and the brake pedal is pulsating. This has persisted for 3 years. The tires were replaced and realigned numerous times to correct the vibration, however the problem still occurs. The brakes were replaced 3 times, although the pulsating is currently evident. The vibration occurs around 30 MPH. When the vehicle speed increases, the vibration is less noticeable. The manufacturer has not been contacted.”

NHTSA complaint #10147711, filed 2006-01, 133,000 miles

“The shock absorbers are attached to a threaded fitting in the frame of the car. The threading is apparently no longer tight enough to secure the schock absorber in use. Several times, on both sides of the car, and for several years, the shocks have separated from the car body fittings, leaving the shock attached at only one end, and swinging freely. To my knowledge, most shocks fit through a mounting and are secured in place with a nut. That is not the case here - I have no way of securing the shock, and it has detached unexpectedly, repeatedly. Fortunately, no accidents have resulted.”

NHTSA complaint #730324, filed 2000-09

“While driving at 45 MPH the vehicle had a loud clicking sound coming from the steering wheel and started to shake. The vehicle sounded like the gears were jumping and it was trying to catch itself. The clockwork spring was replaced to fix the problem. Also, the heating/cooling system does not work properly.”

NHTSA complaint #832416, filed 1998-12

“While driving over a hole on road, it could feel hard on the vehicle. Contacted dealer, and they had to replaced shock absorbers. Please provide more infomation.”
