“I bought a 1998 Dodge Caravan from falls church motors falls church va after a couple of months of driving I started to notice and feel a wobble in the front left drivers front tire a few months later I had a flat while the van was parked it took me and two other men to loosen the lugs on the tire to get of the tire the jack while the van in the air bent and the van fell to the side I pulled one of the men away from the van as I saw it falling toward us we got another jack and got the van back up in the air and put the donut on I than a short time later got on the highway and the donut flew…”

NHTSA complaint #10318239, filed 2010-03, 10,600 miles

“I've had a half dozen customers' caravans with goodyear conquest tires that I've caught in time to avoid any blowouts. These tires are slipping belts, and the treads are separating. The worst case was one 1998 Caravan with 35k miles, and 3 of 4 tires were about to let go.(steel belts breaking through tread around 1/2 circumference of tire) I don't believe air pressure to be an issue here!! ( DOT number: tire size: 215/70/15? )”

NHTSA complaint #731185, filed 2000-09

“Driving 20 MPH on local road, had front and rear passenger side tires incur blowouts without any apparent cause. Tires were rotated every 6,000 miles and inflation checked at least monthly. Tires were 3 years old and had approximately 22,000 miles or wear.”

NHTSA complaint #10179187, filed 2007-01

“Consumer was checking goodyear eagle tires, p215/65r15, and noticed tread was starting to separate, goodyear replaced both front tires, however both rear tires consumer was charged for even though they too showed signs of tread separation.”

NHTSA complaint #876144, filed 2000-12

“While driving on I 99 the right rear tire blew out completely. Took to repair shop and they inspected all the tires and noticed two other tires were separating. Consumer has to get 3 tires replaced before consumer could leave the shop.”
