Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My RAM 1500 had valve springs break. It has a tick in the engine and the mechanic said it was a lifter. He said 2012 rams always get bad lifters, also the front seats the way they are shaped, when getting in or out the edges are rubbed and my leather is torn. The lifter is a major issue. I'll never by another ram again because of it. My truck sounds awful. I have 97000 mile it's 2012, looks beautiful, and sounds like a beater. It ticks when I start it and sounds worse when I drive. When my springs broke I was driving 70 on the intetstate.. …”

NHTSA complaint #11186959, filed 2019-03, 97,000 miles

“The design of the headrest is bad. It forces you to bend your neck as such an angle that it causes extreme neck and upper back pain. I realize that by removing the head rest I will not have any whiplash protection but I am willing to take that chance because I am in pain each time I drive the vehicle. Who ever forced the manufactures to make the headrest this way has never driven one. More research needs to be done before you force the manufacture to use such a headrest.”

NHTSA complaint #10442011, filed 2012-01, 40 miles

“Tamara recall- so on june of 2017 I was driving from texas to colorado. I was at the passing by trinidad, co when the truck just gave out going up the hill. It literally left me stranded in the middle of the hill while cars wer driving by 70 miles an hour. M and m towing towed it to trinidad and they informed me the transfer case was bad and so was the right front drive shaft. I paid 2500 dollars to have that repaired. Well now since september of 2012 the truck keeps giving me problems. It turns off literally while I'm driving making me loose any steering or break power. …”

“Both airbag harnesses under the driver and passenger seat had to be replaced because of faulty connections that kept throwing air bag codes on dash display”
