“My airbag light came on and stayed on and my horn or cruise control does not work. Not sure if I got in an accident that my air bag would actually deploy.. Thinking it is a clock spring issue.. Had a recall on my 2011 wrangler and same thing was happening to that vehicle also..this happened right after I started the vehicle after work today.”

NHTSA complaint #11389291, filed 2021-01, 98,000 miles

“My truck will stop working while driving on the highway. The accelerator pedal can be pushed and it will not accelerate. The truck loses power. A red electric bolt appears. The truck becomes inoperable when this happens. It will suddenly regain power. I have searched for answers and many people are claiming to have the same probelem.”

NHTSA complaint #11163961, filed 2018-12, 90,000 miles

“In the morning while starting truck no problem, all of a sudden while driving on street the truck just turned off. It had happened before on 3 other occasions but the first one was far apart then the other 2 in the last 2 weeks. When I got on the freeway I noticed a had to push harder on the gas pedal to gain speed but it felt like it was hard to press on and I wasn't getting to the speed (60mph) so I just took it slowly to gain speed. That lasted about a week. …”

NHTSA complaint #11319944, filed 2020-04, 1,000 miles

“I was exiting the hwy at about 80 km/h when out of no where the truck accelerated and I felt the gas pedal disappear under my foot. I was not using cruise control, the weather was normal and roads were dry. The truck accelerated up to 120km/h all on its on very quickly and my reaction was to brake, with both feet on the brake I was having difficulty trying to slow down, luckily there was no traffic in front of me for a few hundred yards. …”

NHTSA complaint #10548332, filed 2013-10, 55,000 miles

“Throttle was not responding two times. The engine was running in park, shifted into gear to proceed forward pulled forward a few feet, stopped and tried to go on forward but no response. I told the dealer but they said there was nothing showing on the computer! Glad it was not a busy intersection or there could have been a wreck. I wonder if that would show up on the computer? I was just pulling out of the car wash, thankfully there were no cars coming as I had to turn of the engine and restart it for the throttle to reconnect!!!”
